Says Wojnarowski
As fans know, Rose has not been the MVP rose we have seen years before. He has suffered a few injuries that have seem to set his performance back. Earlier in March, Rose underwent surgery to remove bone chips from his elbow due to injury. This surgery caused Rose to miss the rest of the season.

According to Bleacher Report, Rose has missed 16 or more games in each of the past 8 seasons. Months before this, fans saw Rose score 50 points, which is one of his career-high games.
In a past interview, Rose revealed that he had a few low moments in his career where he quit a couple of times, but he never gave up. Rose played 51 games, averaged 18.0 points and 4.3 assists. This deal is the momentum that Rose will need to give his fans another 51 point game.
He will be joining with Reggie Jackson, a player that has a contract ending soon and Blake Griffin, who also went through a knee surgery last month, according to the Detroit Free Press.
